Times change and as a result, we too have to change what we do. This website is no exception. Take for example the photo below, used by one of my clients to promote Carers Week in 2010. Subsequent research revealed that the number of family carers in Ireland was much higher than previously thought and the promotional materials for this year's Carers Week therefore reflected that. Thanks very much to Liam O'Sullivan of Care Alliance Ireland for allowing me to use one of the new images on the main about page. Many thanks also to Stuart Garland of Fingal Volunteer Centre for permission to use their beautiful volunteering image on the main news page.
There have been a number of other recent changes to my website.
In addition to going straight to my LinkedIn profile, you can now also navigate directly to my Twitter page from the bottom left hand corner of every page. Do 'link in' and 'follow' me; I would love to keep in touch.
I am also pleased to announce that the colleagues with whom I work from time to time, namely Sheila Cahill, Ciara Murray and Orlagh O'Farrell, now have their very own associates page. If you would like to get in touch with them, let me know.
I have added a number of new contracts on the clients page as well, including an exciting project for The Wheel researching the current state of play of NGO outcome and impact measurement within Ireland, in order that it might be compared with that in England and Portugal. I am also involved in another major piece of research that is being conducted by Belfast-based RSM McClure Watters on behalf of The Wheel. It is to present a comprehensive portrait of the Irish community and voluntary sector and the supports and training required to address identified challenges. I am the strategic advisor for the Republic of Ireland for this project; the other strategic advisor being NICVA. These are two of four pieces of work I currently have with The Wheel! I am also working with Focus Ireland, Public Affairs Ireland and two further organisations, one based in Ireland, and another in the USA.
I will continue to add new clients, new contracts and new testimonials as they come about and continue to tweak the site as necessary. I will strive to add news stories when I have some time and something to say, and I encourage you comment on these and/or to let me know if you wish to publicise anything on my news pages (which then get further publicised within my Twitter and LinkedIn communities).
And finally, a big thank you to Chris Eardley of Absmax, my inimitable website designer based in Edinburgh, for continuing to work wonders on my website and for putting up with my unabated quest for perfection!
